Paul Tyrrell

CHAIRMAN

Paul retired as Chief Executive of the NT Dept of the Chief Minister in 2008 after over 8 years in the job and nearly 30 years in the NT public service.  Paul is also currently chairman of the Darwin Waterfront Corporation and Australasian Railway Corporation.  Throughout Paul's career he has played a key role in many infrastructure projects including securing the Inpex project.  Paul is also a mad Geelong Cats supporter.

Ross Coburn

Ross is currently the CEO of St John Ambulance NT whilst also being a member of the Order of St John, a qualified accountant and Fellow of the AICD.  Ross has long been involved in sports administration and was one of the inaugural board members of AFLNT and is still serving.  Ross is yet another Geelong Cats supporter on our board who has a true passion for the game of Aussie Rules.

Tony Trimboli

Tony is our only Brisbane based board member, who moved to Brisbane in 1994 after playing junior and senior football with Shepparton in the GVL and later in Melbourne.  Currently Tony is the Accountancy and Company Director for Ambrose Business Solutions Pty Ltd and Trimbrook Pty Ltd.  An avid lover of the game of AFL with a keen interest in golf also.

Frank Crawley

Frank has qualifications in Accounting and Human Resources and is also a member of the NTFC Audit and Finance sub-committee.  Frank has been involved in the administraions of football clubs for over 30 years and was more recently a member of the St Marys FC Audit Committee.

Damien Ryan

Damien was elected as Mayor of Alice Springs in March of 2008 and is a local born long term resident of Alice Springs.  Damien is proud to have been involved with the Finke Desert Race for over 30 years also competing on several occasions.  Damien is a well respected businessman within the Alice Springs community and was formerly a board member of the NT Chamber of Commerce.

Lincoln Jenkin

Lincoln is currently the Regional Manager of Foster's Australia NT, having lived in the NT for 30 years, 10 of those in Alice Springs.  Lincoln has a strong NT football background having played in Central Australia and Darwin competitions and recalls highlights of playing with some legends of the game.  Having served on several football club committees and coached at several levels Lincoln is proud to still be having a kick in NT Masters AFL.  Lincoln is a life long Essendon Bombers supporter.

Jocelyn Ledwidge

Jocelyn specialises in Human Resources and  Project & Business Development having been employed in the public, financial and professional services industries and most recently with the NT Government.  Jocelyn has an impressive background having been involved with St Kilda FC player development & welfare committee, partnering with the Melbourne Storm player development managers and also the Carlton past players association and mentoring program.  Jocelyn also contributes match day commentaries for The Footy Almanac.

Tony Frawley

Tony is currently the AFLNT CEO having had a lifetime involvement in the game of AFL as a player, coach and full time administrator. After working for St Kilda FC during the 1980's Tony joined the AFL as a development manager for the Ballarat region.  Tony is proud to have established the TAC Cup in Western Victoria in 1993 and continuing to develop the game of AFL in Victoria before commencing with AFLNT in 2005.

John Lawrence

John has lived in the Northern Territory for 25 years working as a lawyer and now a Private Barrister for the past 12 years.  Currently the President of the Criminal Lawyers Association NT, John is also the Solicitor in Charge of NAAJA and a former Senior Crown Prosecutor.  John proudly played 3 Reserves games for North Darwin and is also an avid supporter of the Essendon Bombers. 

Michael Long

Michael who’s family originally hails from Ti Tree, began his journey with the St Marys Football Club and also played a season with Pioneers in the CAFL, was instrumental in the NT’s 2nd Division win at the Bicentennial Carnival in 1988 and played with the West Torrens Football Club where he won the best and fairest in that year. In 1989 Michael began his career at Essendon, a career that spanned 12 years and included 190 games, 1993 Norm Smith Medal and Premierships in 1993 and 2000. Michael currently works for the AFL as an Ambassador, is Chairmen of the Long Walk Foundation and also sits on the AFL Foundation Board.
