CORE OBJECTIVES OF THE
NORTHERN TERRITORY FOOTBALL CLUB
2013 – 2016
1. Become the highest profile Australian Rules Football club outside of the AFL that generates greater interest, promotes growth, development, participation and support for Australian Rules Football within the Northern Territory
2. Maintain a high performance club based around home grown Territory players which plays an exciting “territory” brand of football that is consistently competing in finals and grand finals
3. Assist in inspiring all young Territorians to participate in sport in order to contribute to improved education, employment, training, health, leadership and wellbeing in Indigenous communities and across the Northern Territory
4. Create a quality and structured career path to the AFL which will increase the number of Northern Territory players in the AFL
5. Through good corporate governance and management practices ensure the Club is financially sustainable and prosperous to ensure its long term viability
6. The Northern Territory Football Club will achieve widespread community support in the Northern Territory with a reputation for excellence in the development of male and female athletes, its ability to engage regional areas and its commercial & business operations
7. To be leaders in the football industry that contributes to and produces quality coaches, umpires, administrators and medical staff in the Northern Territory
