Q: Will the team be focussing on young developing players?

A: To a degree yes however an important part of any young players development is ensuring that the team has some good quality experienced players around.  This is to ensure that both on and off the field the young developing players experience how to go about preparation and performing week in, week out at a high level.  We are fortunate that in the NT we have some quality older players that along with the coaching staff will provide that leadership to the younger group.  We will also work in closely with the NTIS and Thunder programs to ensure the best young talent in the NT is given the opportunity to play in the team.

Q: Will the Club need to recruit players from outside the Territory for the team?

A: Our preference is to use Territory players or players playing in the Territory.  We do however need to have a balanced squad and once Michael Mclean, Murray Davis and other stakeholders have had a chance to analyse the talent available in the Territory, we’ll look at any gaps that may appear and develop a plan of attack from that analysis, but yes our preference is to use Territory talent.

Q: Will NTFC based players be able to play out their season with their respective Clubs?

A: Yes.  All NTFC NTFL based players will be able to complete the current NTFC season.  In terms arrangements for the subsequent seasons, we will work with NTFL Clubs over the next few months to formulate arrangements for the future.

Q: Will the NTFC be offering Membership packages to the public?

A: Yes, there will be a membership offering and we would hope to release them to the public in February 09. This is will be an extremely important part of the Club going forward and significant time and effort will be spent to ensure that we can engage and attract as many members to the Club as possible. Packages that we envisage include junior memberships, past player memberships, foundation memberships etc etc.

Q: Will the NTFC be offering Coterie Group and Sponsorship packages?

A: Yes, we would expect the details of these packages to be released in March 09.
