GOLD COAST LOOKING TO LURE MORE NT TALENT
NT Thunder young guns, Steven May & David Kruse are the latest Territorians to be invited to train with the Gold Coast Football Club. The two talented youngsters will travel to Queensland this Sunday, accompanied by NTIS AFL Coach, Brett Hand to spend the week with the Gold Coast squad under the watchful eye of coach Guy McKenna.
The Gold Coast Coaching & Recruiting staff will have the opportunity to observe the two potential recruits as they are subjected to an intense week of AFL level training which will see them tested both physically & mentally.
Gold Coast Playing List Strategy Manager, Scott Clayton commented “Gold Coast Football Club are really respectful of our relationship with AFLNT, We have zoning rights to the NT for the next 12 months so we’re definitely keen to work closely with the Thunder program as we look out for more recruits. We have been really pleased with the outcome to date, with the selections of Michael Gugliotta, Liam Patrick & Roland Ah Chee on our list. It will be great to see two more potential recruits showcase their talents in an AFL environment this week. I’m sure the experience will also benefit the players themselves”.
NTIS & Thunder U18 Coach, Brett Hand will also benefit from the trip by working closely with McKenna and his Coaching group throughout the week.
